Client: Goldsmiths Hall
Design: Neu Architects
Location: London
Neu Architects completed the remodelling of the Assay Office, London, part of one of Britain’s oldest and most prestigious organisations, The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths.

The result is a sleek and contemporary £1.2m refurbishment of retail, office and leisure spaces within the Goldsmiths’ Hall, which uses modern high-quality materials and is infused with the history and heritage of the 700 year old organisation.
The Goldsmiths’ Company has been on this site since 1339, in a variety of buildings. The current (third) Hall building, designed by Phillip Hardwick, is a Scheduled Monument, whilst next-door neighbour St Paul’s Cathedral is merely a listed building! It dates from 1829 – 35 and is in the Neo-English Baroque style. The original hall on the site was a mansion, incorporating shops, owned by Nicholas de Segrave, which was replaced by a hall built in 1634 in the Palladian style by Nicholas Stone, the King's Mason, with advice from Inigo Jones. This hall was later used as The Exchequer by the Parliamentarians in the 17th century, before it was gutted in the Great Fire of London.

SCP Contracts supplied furniture for the new meeting room, the first ever dedicated meeting space for The Assay Office. One wall is covered in black American walnut veneer, housing hidden cupboards, with the Terence Woodgate 2-3-4 table topped in walnut and Jacob Wagner JW01 chairs upholstered in black leather. SCP Contracts also supplied the desking and storage for the management offices.

Client: O2
Architect: T P Bennett
Location: Slough, UK
Architects T P Bennett were commissioned by O2 to create their headquarter campus in Slough. This involved both the fit-out and refurbishment of their existing offices, a new office, and the design of a new link building between the two. The idea was to link both sites and create a place where O2 staff and visitors can interact and connect.

The link building was designed with energy efficiency in mind, it utilises natural ventilation and features brise soleil shading. The link building succeeds in uniting two offices that are both different in form and architectural treatment. The link building contains specially designed atrium spaces, intended for social interaction.

SCP Contracts worked with T P Bennett and Phusei, O2's furniture suppliers, to furnish both the formal office spaces, breakout areas and meeting rooms.

Client: Fallon
Design: Universal Design
Location: London
Fallon is a well-respected advertising agency that advocates the idea that an ambitious use of creativity is the key to outsmarting the competition. They were founded in the early 1980's in Minneapolis by a group of local entrepreneurs. They ran a single print advertisement in two metro newspapers under the headline, 'A new advertising agency for companies that would rather outsmart the competition than outspend them.' Three decades on they have an enviable reputation and client list that includes Sony, the BBC, NBC, Bravo, Cadbury's, Nestle, Orange, Eurostar and Skoda.

SCP Contracts worked with Universal Design on the design and specification for the new Fallon London headquarters. The brief was all encompassing with furniture required for office and meeting spaces, breakout areas and the staff canteen.

SCP Contracts supplied a range of different products, including two from SCP designer Terence Woodgate, an iconic Established & Sons piece from local design duo Barber Osgerby and office chairs from Italian brand Arper.
